No matter where you live on Earth’s globe – no matter what time it happens for you – the

solstice is your signal to celebrate seasonal change. The December solstice marks the

shortest day north of the equator and the longest day in the south.

What a miracle, that on this shortest day – when it feels like we could just descend

completely into darkness – the Light returns with the birth of the Sun.
